26th NIH Anniversary 2nd event | June 27, 2024

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) at the University of the Philippines Manila commemorates its 26th anniversary with a year-long series of roundtable discussions.

This year’s theme is "Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in Population Health Research: Ensuring Better Health Research Practices, Interventions, Policies, and Outcomes for All."

The celebrations will highlight the research contributions of NIH’s Directors and Faculty to Population Health Research. The second-anniversary event, “Scientists on Scientists,” will feature two roundtable discussions with NIH’s Director and Faculty,  focusing on two key JEDI principles: JUSTICE - "Linking Disparities: Pioneering Ways to Health Justice in Population Health Research"  and EQUITY - "Upholding Everyone: Promoting Health Equity in Population Health Research.”

The goal of the anniversary is to raise awareness about the importance of population health research and help the public understand how our work at the NIH can benefit the lives of Filipinos.

The Organizing Committee cordially invites you to our anniversary event on Thursday27 June 2024, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The event will be held on the 7th Floor of the Henry Sy, Sr. Plenary Hall Building at the UP College of Medicine.
