The UP Board of Regents (BOR) approved the establishment of two new institutes and one center under the National Institutes of Health (NIH), University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila), during its 1411th BOR Meeting on 26 August 2026 at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City (UP BGC) Campus.
The newly approved units are:
NIH Faculty/REPS Research Grant 2027 offers up to Php 500,000 per project for eligible UP Manila regular Faculty and REPs, focusing on priority research areas under the NUHRA 2023–2028. Submission deadline: October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), University of the Philippines Manila, will have a year-long commemoration of its 26th anniversary, featuring the theme,
“Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Population Health Research: Ensuring Better Health Research Practices, Interventions, Policies, and Outcomes for All.”
