Philippine-California Advanced Research Institutes (PCARI) Call for Proposals 2016
We are pleased to announce the funding opportunity from the Philippine-California Advanced Research Institutes (PCARI). Proposals must address the thematic areas of the Institute for Information Infrastructure Development (PCARI-IIID) or the Institute for Health Innovation and Translational Medicine (PCARI-IHITM).
Proposals must be developed and submitted by a team composed of researchers from California-based higher education institutions and Philippine-based higher education institutions. The proposals must address the following thematic areas:

One or more of the Philippines’ health priorities based on the five-year average data on morbidity and mortality
PCARI-IIID
Innovations that enable resilient information infrastructure for applications in, but not limited to the following:
- Disaster risk management and response
- Environmental monitoring
- Precision agriculture and food security
- Resource assessment
- Transportation
- Smart buildings and environments
- Energy generation, transmission, distribution, storage, monitoring and control
- Renewable energy
- Water supply and distribution systems
- Online education, e-government and national security
