Call for Proposals for Funding by USAID STRIDE Prototype Research and Innovation Grants

We are pleased to announce that the Research Grants Administration Office is now accepting research proposals for The Science, Technology, Research and Innovation for Development (STRIDE) Program. The Stride Program is an initiative by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that aims to strengthen applied research activity in the Philippine Universities and industries.


STRIDE Prototype Research and Innovation Grants (SPRIG) will award a maximum of One million pesos (Php 1,000,000.00) within the period of up to o12 months to Philippine academic researchers to further their research that will lead to commercialization of their solutions.


 The current priority areas of SPRIG are the following:


  1. Electronics
  2. Chemical Industries
  3. Alternative energy
  4. Interventions for the I3Quip STUDY: A quality of care assessment
  5. Translational medicine
  6. Agri-business
  7. ICT and mobile computing
