The Institute shall be the recognized leading authority on herbal medicine research in the Philippines

Mission:

We shall undertake scientific, ethical and culturally-sensitive research and development on Philippine medicinal plants in an integrated, multidisciplinary approach enhacing their rational use in the community and promoting the growth of the national pharmaceutical industry.
