Call for Proposals: International Development Research Center – Developing innovative Veterinary solutions for the fight against antimicrobial resistance

Body: 

We are pleased to announce that the International Development Research Center (IDRC) is now accepting proposals that will develop innovative veterinary solutions focused on product development to reduce therapeutic and prevent non-therapeutic antimicrobial (AMR) use by farmers in developing countries. The program specifically focuses on reducing AMR in swine, poultry, and aquaculture animals. Proposals should focus on new or improved product-oriented solutions that would significantly reduce the therapeutic and/or non-therapeutic use of antibiotics in Low and Middle Income countries in poultry, swine, and/or aquaculture production.

Reminder for Payment Schedule of Salaries and Honoraria for Project-Based Staff

Body: 

In relation to the Memorandum Order No. CCDP- 017-128 "Payment Schedule of Salaries for Project-Based Staff", we would like to reiterate the timely submissions of requirements for processing of salaries and honorarium for project-based staff.

To prevent delays in the release of salaries and honoraria of project-based staff, the following requirements should be submitted to the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO) on the 16th day of the month for the first half (lst to 15th); and 1st day of the following month for the   second   half  (16th to 30th); or the previous working   day if such dates fall on a Saturday/Sunday/or Holiday.:

Extended: UPM NIH Regular Research Grant 2018

Body: 

We are pleased to announce the extension of the deadline for submission of research proposals for funding by the UPM-NIH Research Fund for calendar year 2018. This regular research grant program will provide funding support of up to P300,000.00 per project to UP Manila faculty and REPS who will conduct relevant and innovative researches that will generate new knowledge and evidence for the improvement of health. The research proposals from these projects should aim for publication in an ISI or peer-reviewed journal.

Payment Schedule of Salaries and Honoraria for Project-Based Staff

Effective July 2017, project-based personnel are required to open personal accounts with the Development Bank of the Philippines to facilitate timely release of salaries, honoraria, and payment for professional services.

In consonance with Memorandum Order CCDP-2017-23 “Payment Schedules of Salaries for Job Order (J.O.) Staff”, we are also implementing the same schedules of payment of salaries, honoraria, and payment of professional services for project-based personnel.
