UK – Philippines: Joint Health Research Initiative Call for Concept Proposal

We are pleased to announce that the UK Medical Research Council (MRC), and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through the Philippine Council for Health Research Development (PCHRD) is now accepting concept proposals for the second UK-Philippines Joint Health Research. The Scope of the call are as follows:

  1. Genomic and Molecular technologies, diagnostics and information and communication technology related to any of the following relevant communicable diseases in the Philippines:

           ▪ Influenza-like illness

           ▪ Chronic respiratory infections including Pneumonia

           ▪ Leptospirosis

           ▪ Sepsis

           ▪ Hepatitis

           ▪ Rabies

           ▪ Zika virus

  1. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) specifically; Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
