The National Institutes of Health (NIH) held its Strategic Planning Workshop for 2026-2030 on June 15-16, 2026, at the University Hotel, Diliman, Quezon City. Guided by the theme “Building the Future of Philippine Health Research, Innovation, and Impact,” the workshop brought together faculty, researchers, and administrative staff to identify priorities and set the Institute’s strategic direction for the next five years.

Through collaborative discussions and planning sessions, participants revisited NIH’s mission, vision, and core values, and developed strategies to strengthen research, foster partnerships, and ensure that scientific knowledge is translated into meaningful health outcomes for Filipinos.

The workshop reaffirmed NIH’s commitment to advancing health research and innovation that informs policy, supports practice, and contributes to improving the health and well-being of communities nationwide.
