1st Philippine mHealth Forum: Promises and Realities

Manila, Philippines – The UP Manila National Telehealth Center under the National Institutes of Health organized the first Philippine mHealth Forum at the Century Park Hotel – Manila. Partners, stakeholders and mHealth players all over the country, including the Department of Health Secretary Erique T. Ona attended the two-day event from April 10 – 11, 2014.

NTHC trains for the newest RxBox

Tagaytay City, Philippines – The National Telehealth Center under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the University of the Philippines Manila organized a four-day RxBox Training Program for the recipient municipalities of the latest version of the RxBox. Four representatives each from the municipalities of Dingalan Aurora, Lubang Occidental Mindoro, Sto. Domingo Nueva Ecija, and Quezon Quezon, participated in the training which was held in the Development Academy of the Philippines Convention Center in Tagaytay City.

The forum was entitled ‘HIV-AIDS sa Pilipinas: May Nagbago Ba?’ and had Dr. Edsel Maurice Salvaña, Director of IMBB, as speaker.
