Dr. Maria Rina Reyes – Quintos received her Medical Degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine – Philippine General Hospital. She finished her residency training in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology also in the Philippine General Hospital. She went to Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York and took two years of fellowship training in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology. She stayed in Osaka, Japan for 3 months to observe cochlear implantation in the Osaka University Hospital. She finished her Master of Clinical Audiology degree a few years later under the joint program of UP College of Medicine and College of Allied Medical Professions. She also earned her PhD in Clinical Sciences from Radbaud University in Netherlands. She is presently a fellow of the Philippine Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Coordinator of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program in The Medical City and one of the Program and Course Coordinators of the Master of Clinical Audiology Program in the UPPGH-CAMP. Her research interests include newborn hearing screening, hearing loss; implantable hearing devices, cochlear implant mapping and pediatric audiology.
