CALL FOR ABSTRACTS FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  1. All Researchers, Faculty, and Students are eligible to submit, provided that their topics are in line with the sub-themes of the event, which are:
    • Plenary I:   Workplace
    • Plenary II:  Gender Equality in the Philippines, is it real?
    • Plenary III: Healthy Workforce
  2. Only those abstracts that have been reviewed and accepted by the Committee may be presented.
  3. The deadline for abstract submission is January 31, 2018.
  4. Kindly submit entries via email: nihanniv2018abstractposter@gmail.com. The format of abstracts should be STRUCTURED. It should contain exactly the following:
    • Title: all words to identify the subject matter of the study
    • Authors (underline the presenting author)
    • Affiliations
    • Abstract (not more than 350 words)
      1. Introduction/Background: purpose of the study
      2. Methods: study design, setting for the study, subjects and type of statistical analysis
      3. Results: Major results only
      4. Conclusion/s and Recommendations
      5. Include Keywords (up to 3)
  5. All abstracts must be prepared in English.
  6. After the abstract has been submitted, a confirmation of receipt will be sent via e-mail. Notifications of receipt will be sent to the SUBMITTER only.
  7. The Committee will reserve the right to proofread or correct spelling, typographical, grammatical, or scientific errors, and will suggest these changes to the submitter for verification prior to printing.
  8. Accepted abstract for poster presentation will be notified via email on February 15, 2018.

  10. If the abstract is accepted and the PRESENTER does not register, the abstract may be withdrawn. By submitting the abstract, the submitting author authorizes the abstract to be published by the Organizers of the NIH Anniversary.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

Each post will be assigned to one poster board. The net usable space in vertical/portrait format measures 120 cm long x 90 cm wide. Poster materials should not extend outside the assigned board. Poster in horizontal/landscape format cannot be accommodated.

  1. Prepare a heading at the top of your poster indicating the title, authors, and affiliations.
  2. Lettering for the title should be at least 2.5 cm high or font size 110.
  3. Your poster must be readable from a distance of at least 3 ft. Keep visual materials simple and clear.
  4. Detailed information should be provided in smaller fonts/type (at least font size 30) below the heading. Introduction and Methodology should be brief.
  5. Simple use of color can add emphasis.
  6. Audiovisual equipment is not allowed in the poster board area.
  7. Do not write or paint directly on the poster boards.
