1st Philippine mHealth Forum: Promises and Realities

Manila, Philippines – The UP Manila National Telehealth Center under the National Institutes of Health organized the first Philippine mHealth Forum at the Century Park Hotel – Manila. Partners, stakeholders and mHealth players all over the country, including the Department of Health Secretary Erique T. Ona attended the two-day event from April 10 – 11, 2014.

The forum aimed to provide an avenue to assess mHealth initiatives in the country, capture best practices, and build upon existing or forge new partnerships. It also intended to draw up the next steps towards the sustainability and scale of mHealth innovations in the Philippines. Several exhibitors and mHealth experts from the academe, public and private sectors, and non-government organizations presented their experiences in the design, implementation, best practices, challenges and opportunities in the field.
